NEWS: Dog sledding season 2026/2027

07/07/2026

Ticket release

The dog sledding season is just around the corner, and our tickets for dog sledding from Tromsø are avalible - finally.

As a small family-run and local business, Martine & Henrik do all of the planning, booking, e-mails, website, social media etc. themselves. A lot of things had to fall in place to get your tickets ready, and now we're finally live again with winter season activities.

We love the winter, the cold, the dark and the Arctic magic of Tromsø. That's why we do it all: the sled dogs, the mountains, the nature, the simple living countryside Tromsø.

What to expect?

Booking dog sledding with us, you can be confident that your experience will never be at the cost of dogs, workers, locals or nature. For us, this is not just an activity. It's our whole life 365 days a year - year after year. That's why we can guarantee an authentic dog sledding session with us.

Our group size this winter is a maximum of 8 people to give you a personalized and intimate dog sledding session. You'll learn a lot about sled dogs and Arctic living, meet the owners and of course cuddle our friendly huskies.

Wheter you book a convenient transport from Tromsø, or meet at our location direct (70 km outside Tromsø), we always include thermal suits and winter boots in your ticket.

The dog sledding

Dog sledding is both a sport and an art. For us as professional mushers, it requires a strong and good physique, a focused mind, and years of experience to optimize the touch of dog sledding. Having 20-something dogs listening and doing the same thing, is a lot of traning both for humans and dogs.

Booking dog sledding from Tromsø with us, you don't need any experience from before. We will give you a introduction and demonstration, and our tours are fully guided, meaning an experienced musher will always stay with you throughout the whole activity.

Be prepared that dog sledding is often very cold, so layer up before you put the thermal suit on. You'll thank us later!

The kennel/puppy visit

A big part of being a sled dog, is being confident in other dogs and people. That's why we let our guests socialize with our young dogs. They all love attention, cuddles, food and play. You'll join us in a big fence for free play with the dogs, and we're sure you'll find your favourite one. As you'll learn throughout the day, all our dogs have different personalities and qualities. That's what makes a team, really.

We serve traditional Norwegian treats and hot chocolate around the bonfire at most of our tours. Many people ask for the recipe after, and we're more than happy to send it to you if you want to bring a little tradition of Norway back home.

Avalibility

Since we're a small kennel, we close out days as bookings come in to ensure that the dogs have rest days and family time as well. Our capacity is limited as always, as dog welfare comes over profit. Our avalibility is therefore decided on when people book, rather than a set scheduale to ensure dog welfare. We recommend booking early to secure your tickets, and we have a flexible refund policy up to 48 hours. Read more in our FAQ.

Welcome

So, we're now super excited to welcome you dog sledding in Tromsø with us! The only thing you need to bring is a big smile - we always fix the rest for a fun, interesting, authentic and memorable husky experience for you. Welcome!
