About us

We're happy you found our page - welcome to our husky universe! 

This is us - Martine and Henrik - both Northern Norwegian adventurers and mushers. We met in 2019 and bonded quickly through our dogs, making a pack of 6 dogs in 2020. It was not all huskies back then, as Martine had greenland dogs, and that's why you'll meet a mixed pack at our kennel, although we only got one pure bred greenland dog left: Aarluk the old man (born 2015).

Our current main leader dogs, Qanik and Sid, were born in 2020, and have been leading the way for us since then. Being half greenland dog and half husky, they make the perfect mix of power, smartness, stubbornness and of course sweetness. Since then, the pack has grown into 23 dogs, mainly alaskan huskies and greenland dog mixes. 

We started our company Nordlipolar in 2023 outside Bodø while working our regular jobs. Martine is a registred nurse, Henrik a machine operatour. After two years of working double shifts we decided to give dog sledding our full attention and moved outside Martine's home town Tromsø. 

We've always aimed on staying small and personal. We're both interested in people's story, and through our dog sledding experiences, we've got friends from all over the globe. That's why we hope you'll book with us - so we can be part of your Arctic memory and make an adventure that will stick we both you and us for a lifetime.
