  3. The mountain tops - Everywhere you go, you will be surrounded by mountains. From Lyngen to Storfjord, Nordkjosbotn to Rostadalen. The islands are known for their iconic mountains - go to Senja or Kvaløya for a true summit. 
  4. The Arctic swims - The Arctic ocean is never really warm, but truly so refreshing. Give your endorphines a boost with an Arctic Swim. The harbor in Tromsø center even have saunas for you to warm up after. 
  5. The fishing - Fishing is a big part of the Northern Norwegian tradition, culture and living. Did you know that you can fish in the sea without a licence? Remember to check the rules for fishing salmon, trout and Arctic char in rivers and lakes.

  7. The local food - As fishing is a big part of Northern Norways history, we truly recommend trying a traditional fish dish while travelling in Tromsø areas. Have you tasted the dried fish for example?
  8. The fjords - Our fjords are not only stunning, they also bring a lot of history about the traditional way of living in the Arctic. Book a local guided fjord tour.
